Sisteray Interview and Photos

Hello, my lovelies!

On Saturday the 13th of February, I was back at the Sugarmill (surprise, surprise!) for an exclusive interview with London band, Sisteray! I arrived as the lads were sound checking - what a treat I was in for! Despite the lack of audience, Sisteray put 110% effort into their performance and had the floor shaking – it speaks volumes about how passionate the boys are about their music.

Sisteray were the second of 4 acts playing that evening, alongside Hunters, The Manalishi and The Bulletproof Bomb! All of the bands played insane sets and the ‘mill was bouncing as per!

Anyways, this interview! Here are some little teasers before I give you the link!
‘We’re not a mod band but it’s kind of that Jam/Sound Effect vibe where Thatcherism was affecting Weller’s thinking’
‘We’re probably somewhere in between The Buzzcocks, The Smiths and someone like Sleaford Mods’
‘2 weeks before our first gig I asked Mike if he wanted to do it even though he’d never played bass before’
‘We’re a working class band. We have working class ethics’
And my personal favourite:
‘It’s a bit like Babestation, apart from you get Mike’

I also took a few photos throughout their set, check them out below!

Thanks For reading!

Bethan xx
